Tim Bjork

My husband, Tim, had a heart attack when he was 33 years old. We married when he was 49 and I was 42. ( A first for each of us.) A year after marriage, he had another heart attack which began a 10 year journey through 4 ICDs, a ventricular ablation and an LVAD. Needless to say, we did not know how much time we would have together.

Tim thanks his donor family daily for giving him the gift of life!

We celebrate everyday from that glorious day in April when he received the call that a new heart was available and daily say Thank You to the donor and the donor family who will be our heros.

This life saving gift has allowed him to do the things he loves: spending time with his daughter and grandsons and great grandchildren, spending time with his wife and friends, golfing, fly fishing, hunting, bike riding, hiking, journaling and reading.
